The school provides a nursing service with the presence of a nurse every morning in order to see to any healthcare needs that may arise.
Every student is allowed access to the infirmary, although during school hours the child must be authorised to do so by the teacher or by the educator on shift.
The name of the student accessing the infirmary is logged in a register for internal use, together with the time and reason for admission.

Should it be necessary, the family is notified about the problem that has arisen, and a decision is mutually reached on how to handle the matter.

In compliance with current regulations, healthcare personnel is not authorised to administer medication to students except in cases of absolute necessity and anyhow under the direct supervision of a competent physician.
The continuous administration of medication for major health problems is authorised only upon written request made by the family and documented by a prescription issued by the GP or specialist physician.

THE INFIRMARY INCLUDES A FULLY EQUIPPED ISOLATION AREA FOR COVID 19 QUARANTINE PURPOSES.

Female boarders may take up medical residence in Florence, referring to a physician appointed for this purpose.
